Here’s a few snapshots of my most recent little sewing project. I was inspired by this really sweet little blanket stitched piece that I stumbled upon and was immediately reminded of layers and layers and layers of tulle…
To make this little lady I drew a gesture drawing in pencil on drawing paper, and transferred her onto the cloth. Then I used a gray Prismacolor marker and lightly shadowed in some specific spots – you can still kinda see it on her back. Then, using a straight- edge I drew a few radial lines just to have as a reference to keep the blanket stitches from getting too wonky (although we know I’m always game for a little wonky ; )
