Anna’s life in one photo?
Yup. Pretty much sums it up. Or at least momentarily.
I leave for Israel just 12 DAYS FROM NOW (: And don’t you worry, I am filling up every square inch of time between trips with a bajillion different jobs, get togethers and projects. Gooooood grief.
These next two weeks are seriously insane, and all of it just makes me that much more ready to get out of here and go! But the next few days are all very exciting, so I shouldn’t wish to rush through them.
It all started yesterday, with my 1 year anniversary of working for this crazy awesome lady:
Anna Maria Horner. She’s pretty cute isn’t she?
I seriously cannot put into words how grateful I am to have her and the opportunities she has given me. In my time at Anna’s, I have gained invaluable learning experiences, but more than that – I’ve gained friendship. Anna, Pierrette and the entire Horner family have been so incredibly kind to me. I am blessed.
Not only has she been good to me this past year, but she knows how to celebrate too! What’s better than a boss that will order cupcakes for you on your anniversary? I mean come on!
Did I mention that my productivity level and overall value as an employee dropped to about 0% when the Horners added puppy Cash to the family? Let’s just say that I have been spending a lot less time cutting fabric and filling orders, and a lot more time taking a million snapshots and getting puppy-kissed to death. Oooooooh well.
The craziness continues this weekend as I celebrate with Lizzie Anderson and Derrek Smith at their wedding tomorrow. And by celebrate, I mean document their celebrating. Because I’m shooting it! Woohoo!
2nd Wedding to photograph counts as a milestone right? Honestly, I’m pretty sure I’m going to consider every wedding I shoot to be a milestone and a small miracle. That sounds silly, but there is a lot of planning and work that goes into it for everyone involved, and I can’t imagine not having every one be sentimental to me in one way or another.
Anyways, I’m super excited! More on that later I’m sure…
In other news, being the crazy ridiculous person that I am, I made the executive decision that it would be a good idea to start some additional crafting projects. Because that’s what I need in my life: more unfinished crafting projects. Right? Right.
But I just couldn’t help myself…
I got a half yard of this Japanese hexagon-y printed cotton last week while I was in New York, and immediately knew I was going to embroider the crap out of it. Because that is how my brain works. I have problems.
I think it’s going to grow up to be a pillow. But we’ll just see!
How’s your life? I hope you’re doing well.
And I hope you continue to do well on this lovely day!
