Well things around here have been a little crazy. January has come and gone, meanwhile I’ve been drowning in illustrations and muslin. Nothing new there!
I have been a little neglectful in sharing pictures of my homework so far this semester; sorry guys. But I’m making up for it now! The following are all pieces for Fashion Illustration II. A class that I loooove- despite the fact that there’s pretty much a guarantee I’ll be staying up till 3am every Thursday night just to get these suckers done on a weekly basis. Anyways…

Round 1:
For this project I had to make 2 renderings of 25 different weighted and textured fabric swatches (everything from denim to silk shantung). So yes, you did the math right. 50 RENDERINGS LATER, I had created a swatch book. Holla.
Sorry I don’t have a better picture, but this gives you an idea of how the project played out. Time consuming for sure, but pretty useful in the end.

Round 2:
Render 4 fashion models in complete color. These are all watercolor and black prismacolor pencil.
Woot woot. Last one’s probably my favorite.

In addition, every week in class we do a model draw. Pretty much the same principle as project #2, just faster. Also I always do these in colored pencil.
This is the only one that I have a picture of at the moment, I’ll post more throughout the semester.
I want her dress…and her shoes…and her hair.
Yeah, she’s pretty adorable.

Another exciting class that I’m taking this semester is Color Theory. SUPER fun!
This project used different color schemes (tints, complements etc.). Possible future fabric design?

Also, have I mentioned that Lara and I going to DISNEY WORLD AND HARRY POTTER WORLD?!
Because we are.
As in, our flight leaves in 6 hours.

In celebration of our near departure, I decided to paint my nails accordingly:
Why yes, I am the strangest person you know.

So there it is. You will be getting updates throughout the weekend as we make complete fools of ourselves amongst the stroller-pushing herds of families in Orlando. It’s going to be marvelous.

That’s all for now folks, and I hope you have a lovely day!
Anna Michelle
