The Golden Age of Couture

So today I went to the Couture Exhibit at the Frist for the 3rd time. Yep you got it, I’m a dork who goes to museum exhibits over and over again. Get over it. If you haven’t gone yet, GO! It closes on September 12th, so get your butt over there pretty soon.

Also at the exhibit right now is some work by Dale Chihuly that’s kind of a little bit incredible:

This was the second time I’d seen his work, but my favorite is still part of his permanent exhibit in the Oklahoma Museum of Art:Just in case you were wondering, that’s a rowboat filled with over-sized marble looking forms of glass. Yeah, I know. But what the heck? It’s awesome!
Chihuly also has an exhibit at Cheekwood right now that I’ve heard is amazing. I have yet to see any of his outdoor work, but hopefully I’ll get at chance to go over there before it closes.

Have a bright and sunshiney day!
